I have been speaking with Roy earlier who asked me to raise the following point on the blog.
Man Utd V Chelsea = the corner before the goal. Why was it disallowed? Rooney took the corner, Giggs crossed it and Ronaldo scored. What was wrong with it? As a Chelsea supporter I believe it changed the whole game and may have cost us the league ( J ). Seriously – I couldn’t see anything wrong with the corner or the goal.
What is the opinion of this blogs readers. I expect Roy will be happy to debate via the comments field.

Having posted your comment Roy, I wanted to make comment myself to the point you raised.
I felt the goal should have stood. If United should not have taken the corner then the linesman should have stood in front of the ball until the ref blew his whistle.
On the wider point of “Ungentlemanly Conduct" I think there is a bit of a danger that this can be used to stifle player iniative in the game. Why is it OK to score from taking a direct free kick (taken quickly) but not through an indirect corner? I think the "ungentlemanly Conduct" notion should be replaced with actual rules that are clearer for ALL to follow.
Players are too soft these days, we need a bit more hacking at the ankles and a bit less rolling on the floor!
Chelsea happy just cos it means that they can do a bit less crying and diving
Chelsea players sulked their way to that loss.
