With the shock win over Wigan (which I predicted), West Brom have drawn equal with Newcastle and Boro - and what with Hull giving Stoke their second away win of the season, relegation has suddenly become interesting
Today's game between the two north-east clubs at St. James' is crucial - it is the most important game of the season in my opinion, because let's face it, United need 4 points off three games that include Wigan and Hull
Should Newcastle win they stand in very good stead to stay up, they have the best goal difference of the four, and will play Fulham at home next Saturday
Hull will need to beat Bolton at the Reebok, and their only other game is against United at home, their only chance of getting a point from that is if United have already lifted the trophy
Boro meanwhile are probably doomed, if they don't win in Newcastle they need even more points off Villa and the Hammers
The Albion meanwhile have to greet Liverpool and go to Blackburn, which doesn't look very good I'm afraid
But it should make for an interesting final day, personally I think Newcastle will stay up and Hull will drop back down*

*Mainly because I put a bet on Newcastle to be relegated a few weeks ago
Suddenly it's got interesting

Much to my dismay, I can't see Boro taking anything from St James's. Tuncay may have been one of the league's unsung wonders this year, but any team with Aliadiere as a 'first choice anything' are doomed.
My Baggies are still in with a shout, but not exactly going to risk my mortgage on it, so will stay realistic, for now. Talking of unsung heroes...Chris Brunt (West Brom) has been outstanding this year, all season, pinging in the goals and being an allround work-horse. Whether they go down or not, one of the second tier teams (Spurs/Wigan/Everton/Villa) should certainly be taking a look at him.
On Hull...I can see them scraping through and Newcastle staying in bottom three...so I'd say, your bet is a good'un.
I am a neutral for tonights game, but I really enjoy the passion of these relegation deciders.
A draw suits neither, but a win is almost like a cup win, as it gives one team a chance of staying up... Of course, it could end up as a bore-draw, I have a feeling this will be a hum-dinger.
PD - I think West Brom will be back if they can hold the squad together, I do think they probably have not been good enough to stay up, but I salute their positive approach to premier league football - they have done themselves credit this time around!
And with that win, Hull drop down on goal difference
I think the toon are going to be fine now
Please no.
I know too many Geordies, LOUD Geordies for them to go and avoid relegation.
Can't see Baggies holding onto their team. Morrison will go (prob to Bolton), Brunt oughta leave, Carson wants to be England keeper, especially in a World Cup year and won't achieve that in Chamionship, Fortune will go, Greening to Fulham is my bet...doesn't look good.
