Q. Which former England football player was likened to Mary Poppins by one of the directors of his club?

I think that was the doughnut up at Newcastle - Mr Sheppard. He called all women in and around Newcastle some nasty names and Alan Shearer "the Mary Poppins of the North" to go with the Angel of the North.
By the way - the original Mary was Peter Houseman at Chelsea 1969-74 (I think about 5 years)- now sadly dead after a car accident.
I must protest at the two points awarded to Roy on this one - Mr Sheppard is not the right answer. So therefore i expect, no...DEMAND, that these points be withdrawn until whoever gets the right answer first which includes first name and last name.

2 points for Roy

Otherwise this is a fix.
read the question robertr123, I asked for the player name, not the directors name. Roy's points are valid, and you should retract your assertion.
